They're great! A lot of the time, the films are an improvement over the literature!
They're OK. Sometimes, the films measure up to the original literature.
They're awful! The films rarely bear any resemblance to the literature.
Each is a case of its own, and I will tell you why!

I've yet to watch a movie as enjoyable as the book. Written form is simply more immersing, a movie uses the visual sense alone, while literature uses mind images as well
