Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Journal Entry: Wed Jan 16, 2013, 4:51 AM

Listen up, weirdos. This is your friendly neighbourhood asshole getting ready to mess things up. Wanna know why they've let me out of the cage to bring you another blog like this? That's right, losers, we've lost another longstanding member of the admin team, and I'm going to write 500 words of pure, throbbing love and respect for this bitch. Y'all ready for this? Tough, get ready to cry your eyes out, meatbags.

IndigoSkyes founded this thing alongside cherrichan13 and jonathoncomfortreed back when it was just a baby (LIKE YOU ARE NOW). Without her this world would probably be speaking GERMAN by now, so you owe her pretty much every piece of critique you've ever gotten from this establishment to your lady sovereign this dearest of alumni.

How you'll feel when this blog is finished with.

I'm beginning to get upset about this. We've lost so much of the old crowd (you new guys are great, don't get me wrong) but this one? This weirdo? She was special. I mean she meant something and I suppose I care for, like in a tiny way, a small fragment of a modicum of a splinter of a piece of a way. Yeah, maybe a little. She's aight, I suppose. It's not like I love her or anything.

Anyway, not only was this chick spinning all of the plates (I mean all of the plates) she was pretty much loved by all (not me though, no siree) and was basically awesome. Do you know how awesome this girl is? One metric tonne of awesome, that's how much. Below is a picture which adequately, in a truly mathematical sense, outlines how awesome IndigoSkyes is.

One Metric Tonne of Awesome

She is, by far, one of the most intelligent, friendly, witty and deservedly happy people I have ever met. I mean she's kinda cool and stuff. Her leaving our happy family should have you sadder than it does right now, look sadder.

No sadder.

Ok, good.

Anyway. Her duties as a chief admin of the group were many, but perhaps the most important was keeping me, WyvernLetDie under control. From now on expect more antics from the group. No-one can stop me now we'll try are best to put up a similar standard of administrative output, but the fact that I just used "Are" instead of "Our" back there probably evidences the fact that our standards are already slipping. Also, if you didn't catch that, shame on you.

She's the penguin, the sealion is your happiness.

But don't just take my word for it, here, have some quotes from some of the people who know her best.

"There are many reasons why I love Indigo, and she surely is one of the finest friends I found thanks to dA. She's incredibly smart and easy to talk to (so careful because she WILL be able to make you talk about your darkest secrets), has a pretty amazingly overwhelmingly busy life that she takes care of more brilliantly that I would, and a crazy boyfriend that writes weird stuff when he's on a sugar rush (:iconteheplz:).

She is, you understand, an all-round stunning person and tWR wouldn't be what it is now without her. So love her forever like we all do. Now. :stare:"

"Indigo is so much the heart of this group that it's difficult to believe she's not part of it any more, as if we're running around in need of an organ transplant... she has been around as long as I can remember and is always so friendly and welcoming. At one point last year, she pretty much held the whole group together – she's the behind-the-scenes Superwoman who keeps things running smoothly. She is an amazing friend, full of love, energy, dancing, creativity, beautiful words, laughter, compassion and positivity and magic – and so many other wonderful things which could be rambled about forever – and I'm so glad to know her. If you only read one piece of writing today, let it be one of hers (because damn can she write, on top of everything else)."

"Said it before, will say it again: INDIGO, I THINK YOU'RE PUDDLE-WONDERFUL AND ALL THE OTHER FUN, FANTASTIC PHRASES BY E. E. CUMMINGS I HAVEN'T STOLEN YET THAT MEAN 'AMAZING'. Honestly, Indigo's too great for words (which is why this is so lacking), and deserves all your love. All of it.:stare:  I personally can't imagine tWR with her and am, in fact, standing in the Great River of De Nile and refusing to imagine it.

I triple double dog dare you to bombard her deviantART page with love and praise and awe. Do it in the name of the #tWR hashtag. And sweet, sweet denial love."

"Not only as an admin, but just being a living, breathing, person, she goes above and beyond the call of duty. She's not living and breathing but dancing and singing, and heck, getting us as a group organised and loving us at the same time.

I wish that the time I worked alongside her was longer, and yet it was enough time to have caught her contagion of enthusiasm. Even with her absence it'll continue to inspire us to be the fire that is #theWrittenRevolution"

What a bunch of sentimental weirdos.

Anyway Indingo, Umbongo or whatever your name is. You'll be missed and stuff.

So there.

~Yours, seriously for a second time (lol no).

Maybe if everyone in the group comments and begs Indigo to stay, she will...

Indigo, you're far too lovely and amazing to leave us at tWR
(and I don't care how selfish that sounds).

After all, when you go, it will be a sad day worldwide.

I admit, I laughed. But I'm sorry to hear that she's leaving--I remember she was the one who welcomed me to the Written Revolution when I first joined. :(

I died laughing, but I also kinda sad-faced a little. :saddummy: (what my sad face should look like) :stare: (what my sad face probably looks more like).

I'm slightly afraid to admit that I laughed... (and I totally caught that "are" it grated my soul).

So, I am aware encouraging this is probably the very last thing I'm supposed to be doing, but I can't help myself, because this is BRILLIANT, my dear Sir! Really enjoyed reading this! (It was so much fun I hardly managed a convincing sadface, sorry.)
