The opportunity:

Sorcerous Signals Magazine are open for submissions.

The details:

Come, follow the Sorcerous Signals into new realms: Realms of Imagination, Wonder and Magic. Places where heroes walk, wizards weave magic and mystical creatures dwell. Sorcerous Signals is an award winning magazine. Let our writers and artists weave their magic as they beckon you – to step beyond the mundane and into the fantastic.

Put simply, this is for all writers of the fantasy genre. Poetry is allowed, and prose word count limits are at a maximum of 10,000 (though they will occasionally stretch that for a novelette, for those more experienced with the dichotomy).

There is the initial payment (to the author, not from, never submit somewhere that charges for the 'privilege') of $5.00 for stories and $2.00 for flash fiction and poetry. Readers will donate further royalties if they like your stuff so... write well!

How to submit:

Full details available here, it's MUCH easier for you to simply follow that link, as submissions have to be formatted appropriately, which is understandable.

I'll take the opportunity to drop in a bit of advice: ALWAYS do EVERYTHING they require you to do properly when submitting, and do it for the first time. If you're easier to deal with and show you give a damn, publishers will be interested and love to work with you. If you're lazy, you likely don't deserve the attention.

More information:

The magazine is released online four times a year and in a print copy once a year. Your work will be archived for a year.

Duotrope listing here.

Bonus!

Shadocchi contacted the group. Here's what she said:
I always keep an eye out for your publishing opportunity posts and I thought I'd let you know about the online journal I edit for if you'd like to mention it in a future? I'll break it down:

Opportunity: Nocturnes Magazine is an online magazine that publishes a selection of stories that take their inspiration from Japanese media, each of them illustrated by the artists on-team. Published writers retain full rights to their work as it's unpaid.

Details: We accept original stories ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 words and serialised submissions of any length (though writers must provide an outline of their plans and a completed first chapter). Successful stories will go through a workshopping process until it's ready to be edited and published. Writers can expect to see two to three illustrations for their story in the final product.

The cut-off date for issue three is July 15th, 2012. Any submissions after this date will only be considered for the next issue.

How to submit: Submissions should be made through our Submittable page (nocturnesmagazine.submishmash.…). An author bio will be requested on follow-up. All questions can be directed to editor@nocturnesmagazine.com.

Happy Job-Hunting,
WyvernLetDie
