2016 Black Fox Writing Contest

Black Fox is accepting submissions for its fourth annual writing contest. The theme this year is “Stranger in a Strange Place.” Please submit your strongest fiction, nonfiction, or poetry, and we will choose one winner that we feel interprets the theme best.

Black Fox Magazine is looking for fiction, nonfiction, or poetry that best exemplifies this year's theme.

Mash Stories

Mash Stories Competition

MASH competition aims to spot rock star quality storytellers. We like innovative ideas, but we are not keen on too many rules. Our competition is simple. Every three months, three random words are selected from a randomly gathered list. Writers are invited to incorporate them into a short, sensible and convincing story.

Mash Stories is looking for flash fiction of max 500 words, using three words of their choosing (please see the website link below for more details). Open to all genres.

Electronic Subs only, NO Reprints, Simultaneous Subs OK, NO Multiple Subs.

Deadline: July 15th.

Payment: The Top 3 writers get the opportunity work collaborate with a Personal Development Coach to address any issues in their writing careers, and the winner gets a $100 award.
