Eaton Literary Agency's Annual Awards Program [over 10,000 words]

Cash prize.
No genre restriction.
The under 10,000 words event is in March.

L. Ron Hubbard's Writers of the Future Contest

Open to new and amateur writers with a science fiction or fantasy manuscript.
This isn't necessarily for novel-length manuscripts, but the limit is as high as 17,000 words.

The Iowa Short Fiction Award

$15 entry fee and
the submissions must be at least 150 pages, as a short story collection.
